Hi all,

Just had some naff news that my Ka has failed its MOT on two duff alloys, Ford original wheels are horrifically expensive, just wondering per chance if anyone had 2 hanging about (long shot I know). Looked on flea bay but the ones on there look a bit ropey or are pretty much asking new money.

They are the standard 16" alloys as fitted to the sport and street Ka.

I am based in Herts and can collect upto 50 miles away.

Thank you!

I realise how staggering unhelpful this response is but they really are like hens teeth.

I have one wheel on mine that is slightly buckled and I cannot find a replacement at reasonable cost.

I would try the local scrapyards and if that fails i'm afraid its a case of buying whatever is available from ebay.

Currently the best option is £85.

The wheels are very prone to buckling - as you have just found - when this happened to me last winter I had to fork out £70.

The only plus is that the cars are popular with young drivers so do get written off fairly often.

Fingers crossed and it may be work posting on fk-oc.

If you're not bothered about what they look like (and let's face it, it doesn't sound like you are) just sell the other two and buy four crappy secondhand after-markets for £99 off ebay.

Get some rough ones on ebay and get them refurbed. Costs £30 a corner round here.

Any alloy wheel from a Mk4/5 Fiesta, Puma or Ka will fit. If you can't find a decent set of something with a blue oval badge on it on eBay I'd be amazed.

Thanks for this, picked up the three alloys this morning, they need a refurb but for the money I can't complain!! So two wheels on the car and one for spare!

Thanks again!
