Whoops. That'll teach me that cheeky low bids win stuff if no other idiots bother to bid. Never mind; aside from randomly mismatched tyres, tired dampers, an annoyingly droney exhaust and an irritating squeak from somewhere on the nearside of the dash I'm very pleased. It's as the vendor described it, and will need some tinkering but that's all to look forward to!

A gentleman never discusses the fee, but as I'm not a gentleman; £1250 with 12 months test and 4 months tax. The tired dampers make for an amusingly bargelike cornering experience.

Is that the full fat rb26 engined one?

If so i believe it actually qualifies as ebay genius.

I love fast estates, especially fast turbo nutter 90's Jap estates.

hehe

Great ebaying they are superb cars.

If I could get sensible insurance on one I would consider a purchase myself.

Alas no, I'm not that lucky; just the standard RB25 and slushmatic. An Autech would be nice, but even a cheap one would be 3-4 times what I paid for this.

I was behind one of these in a monsoon on the M11 this afternoon. A lovely rare barge smile

It does indeed go like st off a teflon shovel; once the slack in the slushmatic is wound up, it goes like a rocket. Very entertaining noises at 6500rpm. Not much in the way of toys, just the usual plus the bizarreness that is an electric boot closer.
