Are you looking for a new soft top?
Discussion
Hi everyone, just had a new roof fitted on the old 5 and thought i should share what a good experience it was.
I Live in Birmingham and have spent the last couple of months trying to source a new sot top of the right quality and right price, found a place local to me that wanted £380.00 supply and fit! and the only other place i found that seemed good enough was in Bristol, their price was £300.00 supply and fit, obviously though i had to factor the cost of fuel for getting there and back in to that.
So any way, i had kind of made my mind up the other week that i was going to drive down to Bristol and have the roof done there, it was then that i spotted what i presume was a sponsored advert on pistonheads for a company called the soft top shop. I checked out the website and saw that they were based in Manchester but they did travel to the midlands.... cutting a long story short the results are as follows
They guy was on time, arrived when he said he would, he was polite, despite neumorus offers of tea and coffee he refused them all and just got on with the job in hand. While not wanting to hover over him when i did go out to see what he was doing he seemed to have a lot of pride in his work, he tidied up after him self and just made me realise that i had made the right decision.
Anyway... enough blabbing on...... I've picture below and i had the following work done for the amazing price of £285.00 all in!!!.... happy days.....
Clean, lubricate and polish frame
Clean and repair rain rail,
Clean drain channels
Check hood cables
Extra mileage charge for travelling to Birmingham.
Really reccommend this guy if youre looking for a new roof, you can find him at http://www.thesofttopshop.com/ i'm well chuffed with what he has done for me...

And best of all, i nearly forgot to mention, i didnt have to travel any where as he came to my house.... RESULT!!!!!

Thanks for all the comments, All i'm trying to do is promote some one who has done a good job for me and reccommend him if you need a new roof fitting to your car, i'm not trying to see if everyone likes the wheels or not.....
While the wheels might not be everyones taste, they came with the car when i bought it, i'm by no means a mazda purist and they dont bother me in the slightest, in the flesh they dont look that bad, and i've had lots of good comments from other people about the overall look and condition of it for an 18yr old motor.
If we all liked the same thing on a car then surely it would be boring?
