New job no company car :(

After the big long wait for my new Passat company car to show up (it still hasn't) I've had an offer I can't refuse but will be loosing my company car
So I'm after some ideas of what to look at now I have a lot more freedom of car choice. Looking for something practical, maybe an estate, low running costs and good fuel economy. Some 'fun' would be nice too. Looking second hand upto 15k. My current company car is a Golf GT 170. So want something bigger, more fun and more comfortable if something like this is possible!
Moving to wales so wet handling is a must

If economy wasn't an issue Mazda 6 Mps would be perfect!

But since it is, a gun metal grey e90 tourer diesel would take my fancy

Or maybe a 535d?
