Due to the job I'm in, work has gone ballistic.

The £££££'s are rolling in. My boss has on order a Aventador spider/covertible and a coupe (or whatever they call the non convertable one).
He says that I can have his place in the queue for the non convertible one for 5k (what he put down) and I'll be 20-something on the UK list.
The 5k deposit. I can cover that no problem. (and this is not a massive brag).

The thing is. I can cover the cost price easily, but, with the history of Lambo's new build being somewhat 'dodgy' (and I'm being polite here). Should I?

Yeah I know, expensive car, more money than sense. But this is a total shock to me. I've never had anything near a Super/hyper car. Fastest thing I've ever been in was a Porsche 928 S4 (169 mph!!!!).

This is totally out of my realm of the 'norm' does anyone have any idea when it comes to this kind of car.
I'm was actually thinking of just buying a Porsche, but then a mate said, bore off!

HELPPPPPPP!

Yes it is a st dilemma, but a good one. I think!

What job do you do? I'd love to go from a litany of:

1980 Ford Fiesta 1.1L
1986 Ford Fiesta 1.4S (the S makes all the difference)
1981 Vauxhall Cavalier aka the Tank
1989 Ford Escort XR3i Cabriolet
2002 Alfa Romeo 147 1.6 Lusso
2004 Mazda 6 Sakarta (Yawn)
2002 Alfa Romeo 147 2.0 Lusso
2006 Ford S-Max diesel (by far the worst car I've ever owned!)
1997 Ford Mondeo Verona!

To having a living nightmare trying to decide what colour I want the seat-stitching on my new Lambo. (As if you wouldn't have known that for years ahead of time, even if you never expect to be able to buy one).

As for build/reliability - hasn't Simon George's (of Evo notoriety) old orange terror gone somewhere past 200k miles - of predominantly track use. Try that in any Lambo from any previous generation...

I suspect there will be a call for a tin of Bird's finest any time soon.

I'm intrigued to know what massive boom line of business are you in that allows you to all of a sudden be able to buy a brand new Lambo for cash?????

I'd think exactly the same. Work has been a work in prgress for the last god knows how long. And it's finally taken off. MASSIVE!

Read the Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. That'll explain it all.....

Once you've put down the £5k then what? I can't see Lamborghini UK letting you walk out of the door with a new Lambo for £5k down unless they've got a written contract to see some more money coming from you.

If not, I'll buy it off you for £6k.

Right so you will end up owning a more expensive car than your boss.

He must pay you a better wage than him wink

I wish I worked for such a boss.
