McLaren on Top Gear

I dont normally bother with Top Gear but while at work yesteday I overheard a conversation between my customer and a friend of theirs on the other end of the phone. They seemed to be talking about a McLaren MP12-C being driven on Wednesday around the Top Gear test track and apparently it shocked everyone there with its laptime.... I only heard one side of the conversation obviously but I am sure they said it smashed the Veyron's lap time and exceeded expectaions. It was a sensetive customer so I did not dig or seem nosey but apparently the other person works for Mclaren itself. As I said, not really into Top Gear but for those PH'ers who are or McLaren fans it might be worth watching it on Sunday.

Sorry guys! As i said, dont know much about TG, but they seemed to have been giving the new Mclaren a good shoe'ing round there on Wednesday, so if it is aired in the Autumn we'll have to wait!!

Ive been invited to the Dunsfold studio on wednesday 22nd June. Has anyone been before, if so was it any good?

Just seen a trailer for it, Orange McLaren in the wet test. Not sure about timed lap.

It might just have been the car testing on the Dunsfold track, rather than being part of a TG filming session. McLaren are frequently there trying out new kit and development parts.

No, it was to the OP, in case he assumed that as it was Dunsfold it therefore must have been for a TG feature.

I don't know what they were doing on Wednesday in particular (or indeed if it was raining there [c.f. your post]), but either way, it would be good to see a lap from it.
