Is there some relevance to the blob of blue paint on the block ?
I think I recall reading somewhere it meant something but I do not know what ?

LR measured the cooling wall thickness and classified the blocks. Blue was one of the classes, but cant remember how the other two classes fell in comparison.....

As I continued cleaning I found a red blob at the other end !

I have a green painted x bolted 03 4.6 block sitting around
