Another owner leaving the fold

Well, I have never come so close to crying when I sold a car. My daughter was virtually inconsolable, she says she is really going to miss 'Daddy's noisy car'. Me too.

I just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all you guys who have helped me during my 4 years of Cerbera ownership. You have saved me time, money, and lots of heartache through the years.

The new owner has got himself a bloody good car, and he got a bargain as well (he's from France so the strength of the Euro made it a very cheap car for him). I hope it treats him well and that he has his eyes well and truly open to the costs involved in keeping it in good condition. He has a few performance cars and I did go through the last service bills and it didn't phase him much, so I think it's going to a good home. He told me it was a dream he's had for 10 years. I know just how he must have felt driving off.

When he picked it up it misbehaved like you wouldn't believe, the boot not opening, windows not doing their thing, I think the car knew I was giving it up.

Anyway, thanks again guys, it's been one hell of a (very noisy) ride. I'm off to update my profile

On a brighter note, life is too short not to have a Cerb in it, even if for a short time.

So, how long 'til you buy another one

I think it is a forgone conclusion that I will be back in a Cerb sooner or later. Probably when my daughter's a bit bigger and would rather not be spending time with her aged parents and so the need for usable rear seats disappears.

Just got mine, had it about 8 weeks and had the full cerb experience. I've had my 3 kids (still small) in it and we've done a few hundered miles - they love it Took it down to Le Mans, fantastic fun, sprinting with an R8 at full chatt through the tunnel at Rouen, will be a noise that stays with me for ever The alternator packing up yesterday evening on the M20 is solid traffic will be a memory that stays with me for ever, along with my mate towing me to Maidstone services with his Chim and waiting 4½ hours for recovery....

Enjoy it, they really do get under your skin. They are loads better when you use them, which it sounds like you are...

On my last drive out in it I took my daughter out for a blast and stopped at a shop to get her some sweets, as I was putting her back in her seat a lovely young lady (well young to me heh heh) was walking by... 'Oooh nice car..' she said. The old jalopy still has it, I thought, nice the car got noticed too

So many good memories.

Your right there, they do get under your skin for sure but sadly, like you, mine is about to go up for sale too as i just have too many other things that i need to do - property purchase mainly.
I've had so many good memories in the short time i've had mine and was out in it on Sunday and absolutely loved every pop & bang !
