Hi All

See here for our event for July:

www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?t=101428&f=65&h=0

Please note that we need to pre-book our places if you intend on going for the entire weekend and that means down loading the forms and sending them off.

We don't need to stay there the entire weekend. Though for those who do go for it.

I'll be organising a TVRCC Hants run there on the Sunday (18th) the entry is £5 per person on the day. You wont have to fill in the forms for the Sunday unless we intend on racing down the runway.........cant think who would want to try that out?????

As usual any comments or queries send me an email.

Edited to add: To aviod confusion please use this thread for TVRCC replies.

Thanks
Craig.

Top event, Adam and I were talking about this on Saturday. I remember when it all started on Hayling all those years ago :goesoffintoquietdreamworldforabit:

I'll be going usual things permitting.
Friday night, Saturday daytime/evening on Hayling is a great place to see some of them. They were quite attached to the place but the muppett council refused permission for them to use the local school field when they got too big for the Oven campsite. However they still said they would come back and true to their word each year fill the Barley Mow car park and use the little bit of road out the front as a mini-drag strip.

Mark, I saw them all leave Throney Island last year to go on the cruise to Hayling. This year I think I'll join in!

I'm off to Greece again on Monday, trying to sell and buy a house, milion things to do etc. So I said I'll think about it, subject to weather blah blah. No sooner than I say it he's posted it .

Craig I think its fair to say, compared to the laughing gas fed beast everything else seems slow . To an average Tiv, regardless of size, it holds its own

Were going as a club on the Sunday only. They've been warned that were coming and they were quite excited about it.

Sounds like it'll be the ideal opportunity to pop my TVRCC meet cherry.

Will leave the drag strip to the big boys though.

Just re-read the thread, we are tallking about July here , far too far in the distance to say, although a timed 1/4mile run does have a certain attraction .
How much NoS would you use then Craig, foot to the floor for say 10 secs then .

Thorney Island is an army base. The strip is one of their runways. Apart from a large black area (the burnout patch) its in pretty good condition.

Facilities? If you mean things like food and drink then the facilities are the best. Last years show was huge (900cars!).
Good selsction of all junk food including a delicious spicy king prawn fry up thing. I dunno what it was called but it was nice.
In fact if it had just been a large car park with all the junk food vans I would have been happy. As it turned out there was car eye-candy and a fantastic range of 1/4 mile cars everywhere.

Thats got me hungry now!
