What car to buy for 25 grand??

Ok, it's an interesting price point so I'll throw this one open to the PH massives.

Previous few cars:
911 993 rs clone
megane r26.r
m3 csl
exige
350z

budget creep to 30k but DEFINATLY no more! Less would keep the other half happy of course. I can buy privately & so don't need to use a stealer

I'll do a few track days, few ring trips, spa, le mans etc. 2 seats no problem. Insurance no problem, not a daily driver, will be garaged etc

won't buy new as I want to keep depreciation to a minimum. I've been thinking of buying an old 3.2 911 to build a track hack out of but I'm also tempted to get another CSL.

Due to euro hoons the car must be as reliable as possible & have a bit if comfort to keep the misses happy ie no caterhams or atoms etc.

Why not go a bit out of the box and buy something different, you should be able to pick up a Viper for that price, a supercharged Mustang, A Corvette? tonnes of interesting stuff out there rather than the usual euro/jap stuff, and despite what anyone says I can say that LHD is not a problem at all.

oof they're cheap these days! Not ready for something that big yet though, & the one thing that puts me off the CSL is the lack of left leg work.

They do sound nice don't they? Like an f1 car but no I still think they're way too big for my needs, as a daily driver they're epic mind you.

Just had a sneak peek at the 'vettes & Z06's are out of budget. Not sure it'd fit too well in the garage either-the CSL was about is big as I ever want to go.

Daily driver is a van & we have a beetle for bumbling about in-this will simply be a weekend toy.

V8 m3 is tempting at these priced but I'd probably stick with a CSL for the better residuals.

SL55-mega grand tourers but not for the track days eh?
(I might also point out I'm under 35 & don't play golf )

I think any hot hatch would be a backwards step after the megane r26.r sheer pinical of fwd hatchback IMHO

I do like them but the good ones aren't as cheap as everyone makes out. They can cost mega bucks to run as well. Add to that they're nearly all bloomin silver & then there's those headlamps!
