The Scallywags Current Choice Of Car Is Volvo

Every time I see one of the small volvo C30 and C40s they are always and pretty much without exception packed with 4 skinheads looking dodgy (to me anyway).

I live near to Liverpool / Manchester so maybe it is a local thing, but they seem have replaced Black BMWs and Mercs as the choice of car as far as I can see.

Is it because they are understated and therefore inconspicuous or are Volvo offering belting deals on them?

Anybody else noticed the same (it may be a local thing)?

I had a small chuckle reading that. As much as Volvo have improved their image over the past decade with sportier cars and things like that awesome Polestar model, I don't think they'll ever be the hooligans choice. That said, my S60 us an excellent car, and proved better than the equivalent German competition. I've been pleasantly surprised by it and I wouldn't definitely buy another Volvo. I just hope they do take Polestar on as a sporting division to produce some amazing cars.

I don't think Volvo will ever lose there *sensible* image if i'm honest. They make great understated cars and will never become a hooligan/scallywag/chav choice IMO. Maybe it's just where you live? You did say near Liverpool

This is my confusion, they are not a Scally car at all, it just seems to be the current fashion, maybe it's because of the image you have just described?

BTW I didn't say hooligan, I haven't really seen one driven badly, it's just the occupants I have noticed.

Well, I am at a loss to explain this trend! I didn't think the C Series would be popular with scallywags! Aside from
a Newcastle United player who drives one of the X series offroaders (XC70 maybe?) who does some dodgy manoeuvres in it around the city centre.

My S60 is capable of some fantastic speeds with minimal fuss and noise, but they have always had that 'police car' look about them so I'm not surprised they're not popular with scallywags. Round here they seem to favour knackered Vectras, Saxos and BMW 3 series cars.

Yes, I'm thinking of their SUV type vehicles? Are they the X series? I'm using my
iPhone and I'm too lazy to search google on this connectio . Anyway, that type of vehicle is not to my taste at all but the last time I had cause to have a look inside them I was impressed with the interior quality.
