I have big love for BMW touring's yes, although I would look to remove the "bmw mini" sticker.

Staying standard? There's not much you can do to a 520i smile

Lovely old cruisers, I've had two (525 and 540).

If it hasn't had the water pump changed, do it. The originals fall apart, big overheat, knackered head, big bill.

Other than that, enjoy one of the most solidly built cars ever! Oh and if you have any questions about them, bung them up as a few of us on here have had them apart from pretty much top to bottom.

Happy wafting smile

I've been looking around and you can do quite a fair bit to them..

It'll be getting a service as the MOT is due end of this month. The stickers quite amusing so not sure if I am removing or not yet smile

Do you mean looks or performance then? Intrigued as to your plans smile

The best thing I did to the 540 was make it look like a 520. The only (but tad big) clue was the thunderous exhaust... biggrin

And I wouldn't Be Status:Error's No.1 Fan If I didn't stickerfy her.

Sits way to high, as John proves... frown

And we're low again yay! Sorry for the crappy Iphone pics. biggrin

Can see my black E30 frown

This month she will see new wheels and going lower ready for the Retro Rides Gathering. biggrin

Nice, big barges look really cool when they are rather low.

Surely dropping it that low ruins the wafty bargeness that is the whole point of one captaining a mile muncher of this ilk ?

Does look nice low though smile

First wheel on .. we weren't overly sure they suited the car.

Bit more chopping

John changing my lower arm (old bumper on)

Brewer / John taking old bumper off.

Sport bumper on.

Second bath of the day also shows off the new plates:

I think I have lows.

The bonnet and bumpers are black.

I have some pics from the back but need to upload them, only other thing different is clear indicators on the front.

Looks cool.

I think it'd look better with clear repeater lenses though.

I have clear indicators, just no updated pics of them.

I also can't reverse on to my own drive.

Pffft. When I have more money, I shall come up and prove you all wrong :P

Went to a classic car meet tonight but rain put most people off ... So got a quick pic with some mates.. Sean (John's old white E30), Grant and Mine.. it was safe to say, mine was the lowest there.

So afterwards, we took her back to John's to see if we could sort my 'wobble' problem, turns out the hub centric wasn't in the middle..This is more to show off the clear indicators biggrin

I 'just' got on the ramp but getting off was a fail.. my car got stuck.

We had to jack her up and push her with the jack underneath, then the jack got stuck..

15 mins later I was off. biggrin

It does look cool and I like your wheels, but possibly it could be just a bit too low wink

I prefer the Touring version of every BMW; they always look better.

Love the E34 touring, a real classic shape imo, one of my favourites that BMW has done. Liking the wheels and the lowered stance, looks very mean indeed
