Fuel Sender Fixed

Finally got round to fixing the fuel gauge which hasn't worked since I brought the car two years ago. I obtained a PRC8822 from the local Land Rover garage as I had read on here that it is the same. It isn't it looks the same on the outside but the float is differently handed and the plastic moulding has different stops, although the resistances are similar the span of the resistance track is smaller. You could use it if you had to but it would require re bending of the float and modification of the plastic stop.
As it turned out I didn't need it anyway, there was no resistance at all on my old unit but it looked in very good condition. Closer inspection with an eye glass showed a hair line crack in the joint, one quick bit of soldering and hey presto a working sender. Cleaned it up and replaced it with a new washer and tab and a smear of blue hylamar. Interestingly I noticed that the PCB was etched with the logo "TVR 1" which would suggest that the senders were specially made for TVR?
