Speedo interface

Has anyone got a spare speedo interface module to sell me as ive broke mine?

How come you dont need it anymore?
Ive got the Steve Heath one in but the ecu isnt getting the right signal as it nearly stalls at junctions,so i must of damaged the original interface box while wiring the Steve Heath one in to it.
If that makes sense?

I don't have the Lucas ECU any more. The one I have is happy with a feed directly from the speedo and it doesn't use the speed for idle control like the Lucas ECU.

Ive tried to bypass the box going directly from the output of the Steve Heath box to the ecu but it doesnt work, so i guess the original interface sends another type of signal that the ecu understands.
Maybe i can get it fixed if i cant find another replacement?

gents - where is the speedo interface module and what does it look like? i suspect that mine might be broken as my recent post on "speedo needed"

If you take the dash out and follow the wires from the speedo.
mine was underneath the stereo

Found it. Lurking in the attic.

From memory, the box is filled with epoxy so there's no easy way to see what components are inside. Taking apart a broken one would be my choice since breaking a functioning one doesn't seem sensible to me.

Probably best to sort out addresses etc by email if you still need a spare or want any help repairing the one you have.

If you are working with an early car, ie stewart warner gauges, they didnt have them...

I think they appeared with the move to T5 gearboxes.

Its a pre serp with a t5,and yes ive taken the top off the box and it was glued on.But im not great with electronics so ive no idea on fixing it.
Is it the same plug as the one in my pic its got a 6 pin socket but only 5 have pins in them?

wonder if this was the problem when I changed to T5 box, and I needed one........ doesn't matter now, new look speedo is being fixed this week.

Mine should be the same as yours. It's definitely a 6 way connector with 5 ways used.
