Hi there,
Thought i'd say hello.
Just swapped my Altezza for a 328i M Sport Coupe and i love it.
Its got a Scorpion alarm system on it but the rubber fob bit has broken. Does anyone know where i can get a replacement?

Cheers thumbup

Are you sure it's not a 328i Sport? The 328i is not offered in the UK any more and has not been since long before the M Sport trim level was introduced.

As fox hinted, I'm guessing you mean an E36, if so, they are fantastic cars. I'm currently looking to sell mine as I'm upgrading to something newer but I dearly wish I could keep it as a secnod car!

Btw, if you mean the standard alarm, the fobs are discontinued. eBay is the only place to get them.

Its the rubber bit that fixes on your keyring which has broken.
Not sure if you can get replacements

Mine is the 1999 E36 model. It came with the M Sport bodykit which was fitted by the manufacturer. It also has BBS alloys which were fitted at the same time as the bodykit.
I'll put some pics on later today, well, try to anyway laugh

The chap who had it before was registered on here i think, cos the pics had the "pistonheads" symbol in the corner

[pedantic mode on] So it is a 328i Sport then, not an M sport (although the kit and various badges are M sport, the car was never marketed as an M sport in the UK). [/pedantic mode off]

What colour is the car you bought?

Only i notice my old one is for sale on PH and for some reason is listed as an 'M-Sport Coupe' when its actually a 328i Sport. Mine was Techno Violet Metallic and the last letters of the reg were LLJ. Not the same car by any chance? (Its probs a long shot but worth mentioning!)

Ah right, worth a try anyway.

I loved my 328 but I was only 19 and the insurance was killer. I have access to a company car scheme which makes much more financial sense so i had to sell really. So tempted to buy it back as it was easily the best car i've ever owned. But even at 21 the insurance would cripple me.

And techno is easily the best colour!! thumbup

The insurance isn't too bad for me and my other half and he's 10 years younger than me!
He's tempted to get rid of his Alfa now and get a 328 laugh

Currently thinking about swapping my sport for an E46 clubsport, but the e36 is all the car I really need, it's a little rough around the edges but from 10 yards looks fantastic, and it still gets favourable comments from 'non-car' type people, not bad for a 12 year old £2k daily driver.
It's fantastic fun to drive, carries the familly where ever they need going, my push bike fits in the boot and sometimes I find myself taking it the long way home just for fun.....

Double the mileage of yours but I've spent a fortune on it and I want a fair bit less than yours cost!
