Folks, could I pick your brains as to your favourite flavour of brake pad. Back in 2006 I used the ceramic (which I think is now the standard) version of the EBC red stuff pad and to be honest I never had any issues with them, but I know EBC are a bit like Marmite, so...what flavour do you use and what flavours have you used but don’t any longer?

I used to use Mintex 1166 on the front but as my braking distances got more and more "optimistic" I found they suffered from fade and started to break up a bit. I now use Mintex F4R and they are extremely good! Still use Mintex 1155 on the back.

Hi Iain,

We've had 'issues' with EBC in the past which is as much as I will say!! Last year we used Ferodo DS2500 all round on the Taz and they were very good, work well from cold and don't fade. On the Griff we use DS3000 Ferodo which are excellent, though need heat to get the best from them! HTH...
