Too many stickies in the Photography forum?

Just wondered if anyone else felt the same - or is it a set-up issue for me?

I am only getting 19 threads in the Photography forum, and 10 of those are stickied at the top meaning there are only 9 un-stickied threads.

Is there any way to increase the amount of threads per forum (either me making the change in my settings or you clever website boffins doing it so that the forum is longer for everyone?)

I don't think any of the current stickies should be un-stickied, just the length of the forum itself is perhaps too short.

Under 'My Preferences' on your profile you can set your own page length. Only downside is if someone says a post is on page 4 for example, for you it won't be. Not an issue 99% of the time...

I already had that set at 40, I have now increased it to 80 and there is no difference to the individual forums, I think that option only increases the page length of the threads.

I know what you mean though about people saying "it's on page 3" etc.

Ah, sorry I see your point now. Generally people don't read stickies as much as you'd think anyway, but as people believe that isn't the case, some forums do end up with more than their fair share.

IMO stickies are pretty pointless, but things like the competition threads need some way to be found. (There seem to be two seperate June comps btw)

The 3 Wikis should be FAQs IMO, and the 365 thread could be de-stickied.

Just my 2p as an occasional visitor.
