Driving into aberdeen city centre in rush hour traffic with the misses and see a R8 with a private plate going the other way, fiancee pipes in yeah I see it every day in traffic!!!!!!!!!!, and today a nice clean r35 gtr. Yes aberdeen is the oil capital of europe but honestly commuting in cars like these, i really think these guys must live in a completely different world from me........I,m not jealous honest as peeps on here from aberdeen will confirm that at some roundabouts/junctions its more a aim and hope, just dont like seeing georgeous machinery wrecked

Are you from the outer Hebrides? Hundreds of owners of the cars you mentioned will drive then to work every day, all over the UK. If that moves you to post about it, don't ever come to London

Indeed. I lived in Aberdeen for a long time, and to be fair there are some decent motors up there, just nothing like the number that there are down here (M4 corridor).For instance, my father lives up there still and bought himself a late 90s Bentley recently. Felt pleased as punch as he took it out on it's first run, only to mightily pissed off when he was trumped by a Bentley Continental going the other way. Possibly the only other Bentley he'd seen up there for months and months.
Down here, I must see several of them everyday.
P.S. The locals in Aberdeen do think that there's lots of money slushing around up there, what with it being the oil capital of Europe and when comparing it to the surroundings.
However, the amount of money being earned/spent down here by a lot of very rich folk would make those considered as rich Aberdonians look positively pauperish by comparison. Edited by Piersman2 on Monday 13th June 21:42
No guys i have not led a sheltered life but it commuting for feck sake, I love my cars to bits and only took my r32 gtr v-spec2 to work once a week, I felt it would have ruined the car running it in stop start traffic all week long, you end up stressed out in the car and this is meant to be your play thing not a daily hack thats what i meant by the post.........................I will just get my coat

That's because you're poor. Some guys where I work use things like ferrari 430's as their daily hack.
