Free premium ads

Can anyone tell me how often members get free premium ads? I've put up a couple of ads before and never been charged. Now I'm being asked to pay (not really bothered but owt for nowt etc.)

Also I've just gone onto my "Manage ads" and apparently I'm selling a 1977 Camper van (Wish I was lol).

It was based on the date that the premium ad approach was introduced - anyone who was a member before that date (which you were) gets free ads.

I also had a wierd random ad in my list.

You should still get the free premium ads.
Give Matt Dell a shout regarding the mystery item, I've seen a few people have had this problem.

I need to commit the date to memory where older members get free premium adverts.

I think the cutoff is July 1st, 2008 (correct me if I'm wrong). Since you registered in January 2008 I don't think you should have to pay for an advert, but I will check with the team tomorrow morning.

Also, I only see one advert listed for you. Are you still seeing a camper van? And I wish I had a spare £1,350 because I'd love to have a turbo subaru wagon.

I deleted the Camper ad to see if that was the problem but no joy.

Ah go on then, I'll let you have the Wagon for 1300 and a mucky fat sarnie!

The cutoff date is July 2008.

Maybe one of the mods could update the ads FAQ wiki at the top of the page to give some tips?
