More stealth tax!!

Just been reading that if you let your car insurance expire but not your tax, and take the car off the road without a SORN declaration, you can get a £100 fine - oh, and you can't get a refund on a month tax disc!! So, for example, if you have a historical (zero tax) vehicle and tax it later than you insure it, but then take it off the road when the insurance expires, you've still got to SORN it even though it's got valid tax (and possibly MOT).
