I'm afteth birthday in a few weeks, and due to being incredibly busy at work have done bugger all about it!

I would like to take her to Barcelona for a romantic weekend without the kids, can anyone suggest some companies who will sort this out? I know this is possibly the lazy option, but unfortunately my MD has been disgnosed with a terminal illness and needs quite a bit of support.

Any suggestions greatfully received.

We did it a couple of years back. Managed to get a BA flight for less than the cheapo/shiito carriers. Booked a hotel not far from the beach - H10 Marina. Took about 1/2 max to sort out.

In addition to the linked thread where I already posted.... buy a T10 metro ticket for 10 journeys €7.85 including a train from the airport (taxi will be €30ish)

It´s a safe city but watch out on Metro´s and las ramblas for pickpockets... Ladies with jumpers over their bags bump into you as you get on the metro and someone behind is holding the door.

There are so many galleries to see, and events happening. Barcelonayellow is a good start as there are always human towers or fiestas happening

Check out Hotel Jazz, I can't recommend it enough for its location and quality. You can get it on a package but really it takes hardly any time to organise the details yourself and it would be worthwhile!

Pickpockets usually go after drunks; the ones on the metro were hilariously bad at it - bumping into my mate when him, the pickpocket and his girl were the only people in the carriage. rolleyes

Best advice - don't wear shorts, it's a fairly obvious "tourist" marker.
