I'm looking at buying a merc but the service book has been mislaid. I know with audi and BMW you can't trace history through the dealers and buy a replacement book. Is it the case with a Mercedes? The car does have pretty low miles and one owner so I would have thought it would be relatively easy if possible.
I did do a search and sent a couple of messages but the topic was raised last about 3 years ago.
Cheers

How old is the car?

I ask as most in the last few years don't have a service book, mine is a 2008 and I don't, it's all held on computer at Mercedes, although I keep all of my invoices so that I do have records.

It's a 54 plate, it's the replacement daily barge. Well almost, ML55AMG. I've not told the wife yet but atleast this time I've sold a car first!

Although the main contributer (Murray) hasn't logged into PH for a whilse, so don't know if he is still able to help.

thanks for the offer, I've been in touch with the relevant dealers that serviced it and have since had the duplicate book sent to mine.
