First off, I would like to say how much I like PH in general. I know in Website Feedback you get a lot of people moaning on how you should ban this or that/where is my order because I placed it 5 minuites ago and it still isn't at my door step. 
So Well Done to Garlick and the team for making a good website. Don't worry though, this thread isn't like those.
Here is my idea:
My first topic I started had an unexpected amount of posts, 62 in-fact. Last couple of topics though have been flops to put it nicely. So I don't want everyone to start posting on the said threads because that isn't my point.
How about at the bottom of the page, have a tally of the amount of people that have viewed the thread, so the OP can see if it is of intrest to PH. That way he can see if the tally matches up with the number of posts.
Example:
1000 people viewed
50 posts.
That thread wouldn't be very popular and the OP can see if he can word his next topic a bit different or have a better title etc etc. Instead he is probably thinking/hoping that people have just missed his thread while scrolling down.
If this point has been covered recently then I apologize and can you point me to the right thread. It is just an idea that I thought of.

It's true that the hamsters with the quill pens and parchment come with many more pages in their books for less money, but they don't scribble much faster.The high speed scribblers come with a back of fag packet to store stuff and still cost loads.

Thanks for getting in touch so soon, As I say it is just an idea that I had and don't expect anything to happen straight away but if it can be done then I think many would appriciate it.
As others have said though, If it slows down the servers then ditch the idea and carry on as you were.
