I am no parking-god so not meaning this to be condescending, but

Some time ago I was working in a restaurant in Norwich. There are parking spaces on the road outside the restaurant. One, quiet evening I was watching out the front when an elderly lady (with friend) arrived in a Nissan Micra. The free parking space outside the restaurant was at least twice as long as the Micra but she couldn't get the car into it. First she bumped into the car behind. Then she touched the car in front. Then she tried to go out and back in again...to no avail. After trying for at least 5 minutes she gave up and drove off (although god knows where she hoped to find a bigger space). Best bit was that in all her efforts she never got closer than 3ft away from the kerb! A pity she didn't persevere because by the time she finished all the customers at the front of the restaurant were watching her and she would have got some sort of ovation when she came in!

I live on a street with terraced houses so everyone parks on the road, just as i was about to go out and move the car over to park it in the space infront of my house so i could wash it with the hosepipe, i see a woman in a 1 series pull up and try to pull in, i think bks she's nicking my space but nothing i could do but watch her try to park it in the gap for a couple of minutes, reversing in and then pulling out again. She then drives to the end of the road, turns round and tries to give it another go getting into the space pointing the other way round, fails miserably and drives off. I rush out to move the Megane into the space, massive space that the 1 series driver couldn't fit in, but then it was a 1 series driver, anyway, i rush out, jump in the car and just about to pull out when a VW Polo comes along and i see the driver eyeing the space up...the driver drives past the space and goes to turn round at the end of the road, so i dart into the space, easy peasy whilst the Polo driver struggles to turn the car round with the engine constantly stalling.
