Tracing an old car...

Following on from the cool Dad's cars news item, and the subsequent discussion, I thought about the first car he had, Mini Traveller.

I asked my Mum what the reg was, and thought I might try and trace it, to see if it's still around, and maybe buy it for him as a restoration project if it's just sat around.

Mum supplied his and her first cars:

4166 RH - Mini Traveller
41 DWW - Mini Van

Where is the best place to look? The DVLA website can't find records for them, but there are a load of different makes they could be, like Austin, Austin-Morris etc...

I'm keen to help myself, but a few pointers from knowledgable chaps or chapesses would really get me started...

Kinda what I thought, which means they probably went to the big scrap yard in the sky. Would have been a nice thing to do...
