Power Steering for sale ... anyone want it?
Discussion
Just seen this on Fleabay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TVR-Chimaera-Power-Steering-...
I know the power steering racks are like hens teeth but £900
Seller listed as Steve Strange in coppul lancs. Must point out to those that dont know, there is a certain salvage yard around the coppul/ wigan area, well renowned for charging prices
way over the top.
Could it be one and the same? I think

i got my power steering system from an ebay link on here, a guy up north wanted to convert his car to a manual rack and was selling his whole system for £900, i snapped it up and he had my manual rack and bits for 300 quid, so i got a whole system for 600 quid, not bad eh? and yes its working beautiful, tight and really sharp, im well pleased

I bought a complete set from a guy up north too for £650.00, rack was goosed, lesson learned, never trust a northern guy
.Just don't forget to change the oil and flush out the res from time to time
as no one ever bothers
they just moan when the ram seals fail and fill the bellows with oil
only takes 40 minutes and prolongs all the components lifespan
its a no brainer & the best bit this can be done with just a flat bladed screwdriver a litre of DII/III and some jizer/brakecleaner or similar to clean the removed reservoir NOT TO BE RUN IN THE SYSTEM THOUGH just clean out the res strainer with it
