motors might be jammed. use the manual openers/closers under the bonnet (by the lights with arrows on two small handles)
grease/WD40 the hinges/motors and all will be well

Unlikely that both motors would happen to jam at the same time. A wiring or switch fault is more likely. I believe I've seen this before on forums and it was fixed by replacing the pop-up button in the middle of the dash. Might have even read that on here... try a search.

Tried to do the wish fix and just try again tonight...... but think the bd thing is jealous of the "characterful" XJ6 and the bent Rotax kart. Knackers.
