Service Centres for Cleaning Sensors (N London/Herts)

Had my EOS400D for quite a while now and noticed in recent times, the dust spots on the sensor have been getting more numerous. Not a problem really when shooting at f/4 if I'm using the 70-200, however at f/8 and f/10+, quite obvious.

I've tried the whole 'rocket blower' thing and although it has improved the situation somewhat, it's still not as good as I'd like. Plus I'm getting bored of having to p'shop out the artifacts.

Anyone recommened a decent camera shop/service centre in the N London/Herts area that can clean a sensor properly? How much would be reasonable to pay?

Hi you can get Canon to service it at Elstree (you can e-mail them for a quote)
or one of other centres

Fixation used to do it while you wait and you could just walk in anytime and they'd probably do it there and then.

What's the ballpark turnover on getting this done? I'm off to Barcelona on the 28th.

If it can be done 'while-u-wait' that would be ideal.

I wouldn't rule out doing it yourself - sensor swabs and eclipse fluid is all you need. I'm a bit of a technical numpty but I've been cleaning mine for years with no problems at all. It's very cheap and doesn't require taking/sending your camera somewhere.
