Thought this deserved a new thread of its own so as the title says, I vote for zigs car to be used for any demo, interia or exteria work to be done at the BBWF.
We all have problems and annoying niggles with our cars but Mark seems to be having far more than his fair share. But like a boxer he sticks at it,punch sometimes almost throwing the towel in but then comes out of his corner fighting, gaining an advantage only to be knocked back a step or 2.
Not only that, he still finds time to help organise the Festbow

I am not trying to patronise you in any way zig, I just think for your tenacity a little help would go a long way.

Anyone agree?? yesyesyes

I really do appreciate the thoughts chaps but in honesty the valet guy has offered to do some work on mine for free just for inviting him along and offering him to stay for a drink and enjoy the event..I will be shouting him a hog roast as only the air we breath is free..Im happy making others happy and always have been..There are some things that i wanted to organise but have had a difficult time with hardly any work and constantly paying out on my beloved car..But this year as its my first BBWF i shall be spending time getting to know such a nice bunch of people and next year will be investing more into creating some fresh and new challenges for you all..Im really looking foward to it and hoping that the weather will be on our side..

We do owe thanks to andy as he is the main organiser and a lot hovers over his head and admittedly some of my responsibilities have been routed differently but the cost needs to be kept down as there is no unlimited BBWF fund..
Maybe i havent been able to contribute as much as i would of liked but will be generating some funding for next years BBWF from the calendars, The BBWF magazine and possibly some other items that i will be looking into..So lets help this years to go smoothly by purchasing some stickers and pre-ordering polo shirts and if you are feeling generous then maybe make a donation to the BBWF fund as its for your BBWF and thats a good cause..Oh and please..please can you book rooms if staying over and put your names down for the hog roast and such like as then we can all relax a little bit and take the strain off andys head..Otherwise he might end up looking like this..

Cheers..Much love..Ziga

I think this is a case of the wedge family coming together and seeing and appreciating someones efforts, although not the main organizer of BBWF but someone who has had a st trott with his wedge and has always responded with great enthusiasim, and made most of us chuckle along the way, whilst still helping out to make the event the huge success it always is. I was there with my first wedge and the majority of the people on the forum kept my chin up when i was reaching for the Swan Vestas. Anyway red wedges scrub up the best. Even though i will not be in attendance this year due to my accident and other issues i wish you all a great BBWF and hope the weather plays ball. Zig you get my vote also.

I've got a spare seat Rob if you want to ride along! May end up holding up the bonnet while I put the fan belt back on at the side of the M1 again but what the he11... biggrin

And yes, whilst on the one hand the cynic might say that Zig's car has evidently had some uncaring owner(s) in the past, that's no excuse to not put in the necessaries to keep one more Wedge on the road. Look at the figures: in a dozen or so years of production there were only about 2500 cars built. Even if every car has had 10 owners (and many haven't) that's still only a small town's-worth of people in the world who have ever owned a Wedge. If we collectively turn our backs on the cars once they have a few signs of neglect there'll soon be only enough Wedges to keep a small village mobile.

Zig gets my vote, but the Hoover is likely to short all the electrics or something.

Zig,

What day are you planning to leave for the fest?
