Old school stuff. Anybody over the age of 40 who has working in a decent workshop will have had to do that. A good mech won't even need the airflow meter, but do it by ear. The real skill is setting a set of points by eye, perfectly, first time. (ask your dad what points are )

Not sure what's special about this? I'd have done it with two rubber pipes in my ears.

I think I would have preferred the car not to be on fire before I set them up.

Anyone remember those nasty Thakerery washers that were always breaking. The nuts would be loose and then the damn o rings would drop out..
Well they did on my Mexico's.

But when they worked and were set up - what a soundtrack!
