Old school stuff. Anybody over the age of 40 who has working in a decent workshop will have had to do that. A good mech won't even need the airflow meter, but do it by ear. The real skill is setting a set of points by eye, perfectly, first time. (ask your dad what points are wink)

Not sure what's special about this? I'd have done it with two rubber pipes in my ears.

I think I would have preferred the car not to be on fire before I set them up.

Anyone remember those nasty Thakerery washers that were always breaking. The nuts would be loose and then the damn o rings would drop out..
Well they did on my Mexico's.

But when they worked and were set up - what a soundtrack!
