HOW MUCH for a fog lamp

I hit a pigeon t'other day and it dislodged the front fog lamp bezel which disappeared into the verge.

I phoned the local Landrover dealership. New bezel is £8. Bargain I thought. Then he told me that they don't come painted and that woudl cost another £40-50!

I was gobsmacked! How ridiculous!

Does anyone know of a good scrap merchants or parts person?

what vehicle?

i don't know any manufacturer who holds stock of pre painted panels/parts, its impossible - of course it needs painting to match the body?

how's the pigeon?

Yes it's an RR Sport. Sadly the pigeon is no longer with us. I think I might have a go at painting it myself. It can't be that hard. Has anyone done it and have any tips for me?

try douglas valley breakers - speak to steve strange

they have done me quite a few RR bits and pieces

to do it yourself would not be financially viable imo - buying the paint then clearcoat - plus panel wipes - then polishing compounds etc etc - thats why the dealer wants circa £50 - its not a case of buy a can from halfords and 'spray and pray'!
