Anyone with Tracker recovery success?

Had a really bad experience with Tracker when mines needed an "installation service". Took months to sort out and lots of no-shows by the engineers. In the end they never did find the unit but claimed it was still active and responding. Customer service was dreadful and very arrogant.
Tracker used to be good, now they are rubbish, I have a Horizon, if you have to contact them for any reason they are extremely unhelpful, while my car was being moved recently it kept alarming, all they would say is "is your car safe" I said "I know where it should be, you tell me where it is and ill tell you" waste of space at the other end said " we arn't allowed to do that, so in other words unless you actually know your car is missing it's a wast of money, However I have heard very good reports for the Cobra system.
I'm not confident with tracker either. Mines had once since I've had it, I asked tracker to check if it is still working (on since new), they told me they can't check if it works but 'it will work fine if the car is stolen' 
If the car is nicked and the unit don't work then they aren't bothered if the car isn't recovered, they will just try to sell another one.
I only keep mine active as the insurance requires it.
