Canon battery grip & battery for 550D needed

I'm after a battery grip and extra battery for my 550D. must be genuine canon.
Best price I've found is on amazon for £140ish for the two.

Anyone know where I can get a hold of them cheap from anywhere else?

Any particular reason why you want Canon only? I ask as I have the Phottix which can be had for circa £70 with 2 battery's.

I have not had a single issue with this grip and you'll generally only find good reviews for it.

Just after a good fit/finish to the grip and reliability.

Think I'll have to have a play around with the different branded grips in the flesh. Will have a better idea of what to go for then, I guess.

I know what you mean and there is something nice about having proper branded stuff but when I purchased my intervelometer the Canon one was over £100. I bought one off fleabay for only £35 that does exactly the same thing and it's built well, is easy to use and hasn't let me down despite heavy use including being left out in the rain.

I work in London and live within an hour of it. If you get stuck or want to see one on a camera in the flesh then just let me know. I have a 500d and am more than happy to let you have a play with it.

I bought a Hahnel battery for my 550D which lasts as long as the original Canon, costs about £35. Can't comment on grip as I haven't yet found a need for one.
