Mini cooper s + 2 kids?

My misses wants a mini cooper s to replace her Citroën c4 Picasso. We have 2 kids 2 & 4 so the 4 yr old would be ok in the front now. Any mini owners with kids have any probs in getting them in the back? I know the boot isn't huge but would it take a small-ish buggy and a couple of bags of shopping ok?

Guess it depends how big your kids are and how far back you need the front seats - have 2 boys, 6 and 8 and it's fine with them in back. Boot is small but there's a couple of buggies that fit ok like Quinny Zapp etc.Try one for a few hours from a dealer and see how you get on

If you don't mind only having 3 doors and having to struggle over the seat etc then its plenty big enough, the boot may be a squash as the boot is piss poor in them tbh.
The back seats aren't really big enough for adults to be comfortable either, its more of a 2+2.
If your child is an amputee then that shouldn't be an issue.

Its a great car but.......
........ its a squeeze with 2 adults and 2 kids to put it bluntly
Our kids are 6 and 9
Strangely the 9 year old has more room as she isnt in a booster any more and so her feet touch the floor and tuck under the front seat
The little one is boosted and her feet hang and get in the way of whoever os sat in front of her
If you have 2 in child seats it would be a nightmare
We tolerate ours as its very very rare we drive 4 up and if so its not for too long

My wife has one as she needs a bigger boot than a standard mini (we put our german shepherd in ours).
In summary the benefits are; bigger, more practical boot, far greater rear legroom, and easier access to the rear via the 'clubman' door. Still drives great, and IMO looks as good if not better (it's very colour sensitive) with a little more rareity value.

My wife ran one for 3 years without any problem and for the last 6 months it was our main car. There is more than enough room in the back for 2 kids (mine are 5+9) or two adults (as long as she isnt 6ft tall). The only time is was a minor inconvenience was if she had to do the weekly shop with the kids as there isnt much room in the boot.

My wife ran 2 MINI ...Cooper and then a CooperS....Managed to carry two kids form age 0+1 til 5+7.
No problems at all as I had my own car..which I commute to work.
During the weekend we used the MINI alot and managed to have a 'umbrella' buggy in the back permanently.
Shopping at Tesco means 4 bags in the back and some on the lap and footwell.
She loves the car...now upgraded to a clubman for comfort to the 2 growing in the back.
