My 993's (standard) spoiler is a little 'bowed' in the middle (i never knew it was plastic!), I can't afford a new one, does anyone know a cure for this?, or is it an inherent design flaw that will never go away?

also..., would this affect high speed stability?, i would say it has about a 5 degree bow in the middle.

There was an article about this in a fairly recent 911 & Porsche World. If you know anyone who has copies it might be worth looking out. If not, let me know and I'll send you details - I'd be surprised if they can't do a back copy of it for you.
As far as I remember, it's not an unusual fault and it's unlikely to have a noticeable effect on the downforce. It hasn't (yet?) appeared on mine, but it does seem odd that Porsche haven't done something about it, though.

Tarka, thanks for that. I do subscribe to 911 & Porsche World. The thing is i only noticed it the other day, it wasn't like that the last time i looked which was a few weeks ago. I'm now beggining to wonder if it was the 'well known Porsche specialist' who placed a blanket over the rear wing, apparently to warm the engine up quicker!, the blanket was on for a few minutes, and i'm now suspicious that this may have had something to do with it. I have to say, it is very annoying now when i look at it, it just doesn't look the same anymore...

That sounds like a pretty drastic way of warming up - I'd have thought it needed very close monitoring if it was going to be needed. Sorry to hear about the damage, too - I know from bitter experience that it tends to spoil one's appreciation of a car, and that's the last thing you need with an expensive toy like this!

I hope you'll find an inexpensive solution quickly.
