pyronix sterling 10 house alarm
Discussion
We have that system with the older version of that control panel.

When we bought our new-build house I asked the on-site spark to install an alarm as a cash in hand job as the homebuilders wanted an obscene amount of money for a basic system, and he recommended the Pyronix as a good system that was easy to upgrade and add to in the future.
It was pretty cheap, but we've had no problems after 5 years, don't get false alarms (as far as we know), and haven't been burgled, so can't complain really.

lol the house comes with the alarm i just wondered if it was any good seeing how builders try to use the cheapest they can get their hands on usually
good to know yours has been going well think i may need to change some of the sensors for pet friendly ones as i cant be having catty black paws setting it off every time she decides to have a mad one in the middle of the night

We didn't bother as the dog makes more noise than any alarm could, so we just don't set it if he's in!Hi The sterling 10 panel is a decent budget alarm panel made by a well know manufacturer Pyronix
I have installed them in various properties over the years when the customer has a very tight budget.
there are a wide range of built in features inn that panel and can easily be programmed by the installer.
Gone are the day of LED alarm panels as when they have a fault or a false activation it is hard to find the source of the problem.
Such as accent, accenta xl and Veritas R8
there are many pet safe sensors on the market but it is hard sometimes to choose the correct pet/sensor
more so easier for dogs than cats as the cats like to climb and jump on your furniture rendering your pet sensor useless!
if your sensor is at the bottom of your stairs get some white electrical insulation tape and try to mask out the one side a little from the inside the will help when your cat poks his/her head through and banister rails.
here happy to help with your security issue's anyone may have
Andy
