There is a lot of talk about the grief some LMsters get when they take their pride and joy to LM. This is not a vote on self-inflicted problems with the gendarmes. Hopefully it is only a very small minority that have these problems with the chavs that we know are there, but this vote might give us an indication of the size of the problem...
I'm from Salford and my brother looks like he's eating toenails all the time so we were fine.
There was a few on Houx friday with their pistols, but you mix these kids with ale and thats what happens. They left my meg alone though, I noted abit of water going towards my car after a spirited 'start' but the silly boy was too slow and seemed to wet his friend instead of my car in the process.
On the flipside if the Gend's were slightly more relaxed it would help too. Hard to find a happy medium though.
Not entirely sure of what alot of PH'ers idea of a chav is mind...

Over egged subject in my mind. Watch, listen, learn, avoid. There are one or two 'hotspots' which are well known on Friday, and easily avoided if that's not your thing. As for camp sites, if you have a couple of hundred thousand people camping and drinking over a weekend, there are bound to be a few tits amongst them, as you would expect with just about any similar festival event.
My advice to people wanting to go and being concerned about trouble is to read the copious threads on here, look for the camp sites that are hardly ever mentioned (I'm not going to name them - don't want them too busy!) and try to book them.
99.99% of Le Mans goers are there to enjoy the race, cars, atmosphere, company of friends and family, and generally have a good time. If you've not been, just do it. I wouldn't miss it for the world.

Few French Goons taking the piss out of the G/f as she was taking some pics on Wednesday night had to be told where to go was about our lot.
On the Thursday we went and did a little shopping and on the tram there was an English group of middle aged men and women with "cheap" Essex/London accents shouting about how rich and successful they were and what they would be doing over the next few days. The g/f and I were reduced to talking in French to each other in order to try to distance ourselves from their attitudes and were highly ammused when our conversation was joined by a local French couple as we formed a mutual multinational b

No probs for me, but then I took the Espace down to carry the bikes and to sleep in, the Porker stayed in the garage at home. Funny how no-one asks for a burn-out when you're in an Espace.....
There were a few nobs on the road by Bleu Nord. The Brit dressed as an arab complete with toy AK47 was quite funny, but the french bloke with the whistle and a few others who insisted in stopping cars by stepping in front of them were surplus to demand.
By Houx Annexe there were the water balloon boys - my son did his civic duty by heading back up towards the roundabout and warning drivers in open-tops to put their tops up before passing.

k AWAY!
some parts were funny but as more and more beer got drunk it got to a point where I just thought this is getting WAY to far out of hand!
I can now understand why the Gendarmes have stopped Mulsanne, Houx area will be stopped next year IMO.

Heading up the road to the Karting Nord Entrance, Myself and several of our group were being hounded to 'spin 'em up' we didn't as it was too dangerous to do so, but even with some engine revving done, and moving off slowly, some English

k off, this is getting boring now. I bet half of you are chav's yourselves
Too true, I love nothing better than talking at the top of my voice on trams so everyone can hear how wonderful I am, rubbing my groin up against the rear of an apparently lone lady taking photos of racing cars, throwing beer bottles and water balloons at peoples cars and trying to damage them when they don’t entertain me. Not to mention my favourite piss filled supersoaker

I would say that 95% of the people on here would love to experience the ‘old’ Houx runs again where there was the odd burn out (assisted by water to the tyres), lots of nice cars cruising up and down giving it a little on the loud peddle and a general party atmosphere and attitude with a hint of risk and danger to remind you you may be an accountant but are still alive.
What we have today is all the old ‘play’ areas being closed down as a result of the actions of those too stupid to appreciate that their appalling behaviour has taken it from fun to dangerous and moved the Police stance from tolerated to castigated.

A tad harsh? Looking at your previous garage I would say you are the very definition of a chav?
