salon prive worth it?

Hi there,

I have been to Salon Prive twice before, missed the event last year but definately going next week as it is a great event.

Its quieter than places like Goodwood FOS which means for a photographer like me its superb for getting pictures of gorgeous cars in a great setting.

Next weeks event will see the UK debut of the Lamborghini Aventador, Hennessey Venom GT, and also an absolutely stunning collection of Porsche 956/962 race cars.

Also the auction that is there is great, and the concours has got some real works of art in it including the strange Dymaxion No.4



Would I spend the £400 it will cost you ? in honesty probably not. I go as a member of the press so it costs me nothing other than the cost of getting to London.

If your a true petrolhead then you have to go at least once.

Been to all the events at Hurlingham... good laugh if you get a table with some mates and you go on the sportsman night.

As a car show on its own? bit small and ZZzzzzzzzzzzz....

but add some nice dinner and lots of booze and fun charity auction with some nice guests AND add some lovely old cars and new supercars and you can have a GOOD night out
