Are you worried about running yours in its current state Derek? I don't think you will get bore wash with the current map, tweaking the fuel pressure up is more likely to get the fuelling closer until you fit your new ecu. Or is this post in anticipation of the MS tuning?
Fuel pressure up? I was thinking lowering it as i think its very rich.I will be fitting most of the MS hardware but dont think i have time to wire it and swap over. I have a funeral then at Glastonbury from Tuesday till the following Monday. Dale at Bailey motorsport can wire and map for me on the 1st/2nd July but i need to get the car to him and its 175 miles.
With recent misfortune, 2 weeks off without pay etc etc i wanted to drive the car to him if i could.
Maybe with a few tweaks i can get it to a state where it will run happily enough on the A-roads and motorway.
I have clives adjustable tune resistor here that cam with hid y-piece.... maybe that could help.
I will also be fitting grade 6 plugs. I had the grade 8's i previously used and you can guess what they look like

I'm inclined to believe my Innovate AFR gauge. Does yours have a self test/calibrate feature?
I was going to suggest that you could pop along to your local MoT test centre and compare theirs with yours, but there would be a catalytic converter between the measuring points. I'm not sure how that would effect exhaust oxygen levels.
This Toyota diagram probably also applies to Tivs:

Sure that's not just when its closed loop? You could pull the lambda sensors to get it on a fixed map I suppose? best to ask TF TBH. I'd have guessed that even with a bit lower compression that your new cam was getting more oxygen into the engine than your open loop map catered for? was all.
By all means your new WB should give you better information to base decisions on

So the wideband is working and the clive F adjustable resistor is in place.
I tried each position on the switch and all were lean.
At a constant 3000rpm (in nuetral, not driving) AFR was showing off the scale but reduced to 18, then 16, 15. The richest setting was the 4th blue position which was giving high 14's.
I took it for a drive and cruising would dip into the 14's, full throttle was high 13's at best and off throttle it shot up to 18's and higher.
I have set my fuel pressure to over 45 psi which helped to get to this point.

Used to run my fuel pressure at 55psi, with my smaller injectors, i now run 45psi with the MOPAR stuff, just so i can adjust at tickover, because the values where so low, reducing a number made 25% adjustment!
So upping to 55 should be fine.
Cheers paul. I thought about it but wasnt sure how high i could go. I know the 044 pump is up to the job. So upping to 55 should be fine.
I will adjust it up to 50 at first and see how it is from there.
See you at the pod mate
