I did! Stopped after the last peage and told that I was spotted at 144kph in a 110kph zone. I refuse to believe that I was as I was bang on the speed limit in the 90 and 110 sections but must admit that I may have coasted up to 140 ish in the 130 zone.
Still, you can't argue with a man with a gun and a Police Imprezza!
The humilliation of passing traffic whilst handing over 90euro. If anyone saw a black RR Sport then they was likely to have been me.

Saw maybe 7-8 cars being 'processed' at Somme services on Thursday morning, with the same number again following a bike in to be put in the queue. This was following up on the two cheeky gendarme semi-hiding on a bridge.We just stuck the cruise control on 130 (where it was 130!) and trundled down no bother.

Thats pretty minimal in all honesty. Fact is that nearly everybody, especially on the autoroutes, behaved well. Some of the offences will have been pretty marginal , 20kmh over the limit. Considering the operation mounted by La Gendarmerie Nationale thats a lowish hit rate.
As it should be. Dont blame the french at all but I'm not at all sure that such aggresive enforcement of the limits will result in significant improvement in casualty rates. It hasn't in the UK because in general accidents are not caused by speed alone.
I'm still in France, and got flashed yesterday by an automatic camera. It was in a 110km/h zone and I was doing 117km/h (as measured by my GPS) at the time. I was on cruise control and thought that I would be safe at that speed :-(
Anybody know what happens next? Strip search at Le Havre when we get there? Letter to my house? Stopped when I next try to come to France? Nothing?

Ramona - unlikely to get any follow up. I was flashed on the Reims ring road a few years ago when I was blatting along behind a French registered Espace, he pulled across a lane, slammed on the anchors and let me take the flash - nothing heard from les flics - but stilled miffed at the French lack of le fairplay (much like dawdling Peugeots at Le Man...)

Nothing at all. They keep talking about sharing the fines with the UK but why would they? How muhc money do they make from the brits with the on the spot fines...Anybody know what happens next? One of my gang got a 90 Euro fine at Baie du Somme on the way done. Once lad in a Porsche 911 GTS in front of us aparantly got caught at 225kph - he was disputing it. I was behing him for a while and I reckon the police were about right... I was being pretty silly in retrospect and I think I was a lucky boy, and didn't go past 90mph after that.
Went down to the MotoGp on the bike in May and all we could see was police as far as the horizon so for the 24 heure we took it easy, stuck to the limits, and never saw a policeman till the roundabout by the entrance to the camp site.
Got there just as quickly I'm sure and without a crick in the neck looking for the cameras.

I got caught somewhere between Sees and Bernay. Six of us in a convoy, me in the lead and they pulled me over at a roundabout. There was a policeman on a bridge, but only saw a radio not a speed gun.After a brief fight I gave him his 90 euros. I asked for a receipt which took him an extremely long time to write out, whilst I stood in the rain - so I guess that didn't suit him.
I don't believe I was doing 135kph in a 90kph, but you're not going to win a dispute with a policeman in any country.
My convoy pals very kindly had a whip round and split the fine with me as they were all behind me - how cool is that?
That said, it is the only time I have been stopped en route in France, in 12 Le Mans trips, not so bad.
