Automatic ,35mm slide transfer to PC

Hello, I didn't know if to put this in PC section or here in Photo section.

I have several thousand 35mm colour slides.
The ones that go in a slide projector.

Now I wish to begin transfering these to my PC.

I am looking to buy an automatic " USB thing" that I can load about 100 slides into a magazine, press a button on the PC, and they will , 1 by 1 by 1 scan to PC, automatically indexing to the next slide, until the whole magazine rack is completed.

Is there such a "thing" on ebay or some where to buy?
As always, I don't want o spend any more that need be, as when they are all done, I won't need it any more.

A friend of mine found one at a car boot sale, paid peanuts, cleaned it up and sold it on eBay for a HUGE profit. They exist, but I don't think they are cheap.

Unless you frequent car boots.

I had the same intent. Scan a suitcase full of slides and negs shot during the 80's. I tired a Minolta Dimage Dual Scan II (Model AF-282OU) that does 6 at a time - not brilliant though. In essence I gave up; slow, hassle, image quality, dust, way too much post processing.

My advice, sort out the ones you really want to keep first and get someone else to do it!

Second get a new state of the art flat bed scanner and sell on when you're done or find a decent Nikon scanner on eBay - rare as hen's teeth! And finally say goodbye to hours and hours...
