Hi, Not a great introductory post but just so annoyed that any attempt at justice (and saving my no-claims bonus) has to be worth a shot.

Early Tuesday morning around 3am burglers broke into my house while myself and my fiance were upstairs sleep, stole the keys to our Suburu and our Porsche Boxster S. Stole the Suburu and 2 laptops and both our wallets, got in the Porsche but didnt have it. From Banbury in Oxfordshire.

Car looks identical to the attached car. Number plate was VK58 WWP.

Never thought being the victim of theft caused so much of a waste of the victims time. Had 4 days off work sorting it all out and lost all my no claims bonus so replacing the car will be very expensive. Police were pretty useless, tracker was a waste of time and money.

The only positive is that I have persuaded the Mrs to chip in on a 997 S, to replace the scooby.

The car had a tracker and was last 'pinged' in Sutton Coldfield at 3.45am Tuesday.

Anyone notices a car such as this has appeared in thier area in the last week - call the cops.

Cheers

Jay

There is a stolen cars wiki on here somewhere, add it to that for more attention.

Sorry to hear the news, hope it gets found soon and the buggers who took it get what is coming to them!

Good luck with the search

I am amazed these bloody trackers are so unsuccessful.

They will have dug the tracker out or parked it somewhere the tracker couldnt be traced.

Coming soon to a smash and grab or bank job near you.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune op.

They claim it 'went out of range' after an hour of being stolen. They claim to be continually trying to trace it but claim its still out of range.

The tracker service provider was some obscure company that were a reseller for Siemans.

Thanks for comments.

Cheers for the bump. Not heard a peep.

The car had Retaina installed as well as a tracker and cat 1 alarm immobiliser but since the thieves broke in and took our keys none of that helps.

Retaina (sp?) did tell me that the car has codes etched into many components/panels of the car so the guys the nicked it can only really be thinking of using it for a robbery as selling it on whole or in parts will b risky.

Again, the tracker was useless. It was either discovered or the car is 'still located out of range in somewhere such as an underground car park' according to the tracker service provider.
The other possibility is it's taken abroad for sale but again, Retaina reckons that as soon as it goes in for a service or needs new parts it will flag as stolen which will lead a trail back to the scumbag thieves.

I hope they are caught so I can get the no claims bonus back. It's so damn unfair and wrong for us to be penalized when it's not our fault. I always thought no claims bonus was a scheme to protect, careful, mature drivers who didn't crash their cars (like me and the mrs) they should definately be more understaning about victims of crime.

The only other time I have been robbed is at primary school when a kid stole a penguin bar out my lunchbox. Never found out who did it but to me it feels like a grown up version of that. - I feel pity and sorrow for the dirty scum who, just because they are less fortunate or wealthy resort to stealing to try and get what they want. They know deep down what they are doing is wrong and the damage it causes. They will always get what's coming to them one way or another.
In this case I hope the universal balance is restored by them being caught doing a bank job in the car and end up as 'Fat Alan's play thing in 'Strangeways' biting the pillow every night and discovering new ways to get jaw ache.

Anyway. Sorry for the essay. I cant sleep as too excited about spending the day looking at 911's. !

Sorry to hear that. Really crappy about the no claims too. Have you thought about getting a dog as a secondary alarm (and pet).

Go to dogsblog and on the right side click dogue de Bordeaux, bull mastiff or even 'large mixed breed' and you should find some theif deterrent lol

Can the tracker company trace the route it took after it left your drive?

there are many un reliable tracker companies out there who claim there trackers work 100%. From my experience and knowledge there is only one brand of tracker that actually works 100% wehether is under gound or in a container and that is the manufacure Tracker themselves.
