I really need the vast pool of PH watch knowledge to identify this watch . It has been in my possession for a few years now , bought from a car boot sale and I have still not found any info on it !

Any ideas ?

I saw the address at the bottom of the Warranty, I worked next door in 16 Ely Place, London until last week.

15 Ely Place is now a solicitors offices, but Ely Place is just round the corner from Hatton Garden, so there would have been many jewellers in the area.

Sorry - doesn't tell you anything about the watch though.

Looks like an ingersoll/smiths pin pallet, and the "moonbeam" (no help there, I'm afraid- before my time hehe ) bit is some popular character tie-in of the time. They did a pretty famous "Dan Dare" watch, too. Not worth a lot as a watch (and pretty horrible to work on), but as a piece of collectible memorabilia it'll probably be worthwhile, considering the boxes, papers etc.

I did see that pub , but I thought it was "The man ON the moon" ?

Maybe it used to be called "The man IN the moon" ?

Any Longbridge locals have any idea ?

I think it changed its name to Man on the Moon at the time of the first moon landings
