How High Can I Load A Trailer ?

This isn't a world record attempt

I've bought a load of Celotex sheets (like polystyrene)

They are 8'x4' and 4" thick and obviously weigh bugger all.

Its a 2 ton trailer so what are the rules on height - are there any ?

Or do I just stop loading when it looks dodgy - 3m ?

I don't think there are any, but the load must be "properly secured".

Might be wrong, though.

I've got loads of ratchet straps so that's not an issue and its a car trailer so its good and solid.

Only issue I can think of is if it starts to act as a sail but it's only going 20 miles on A roads.

Strapped together as a block I wouldn't want to hit it.

I'm certain it won't disintegrate.

Well I went 2.4m high as that was the length of them on end (which I packed around a piled stack.

Looked a bit precarious and I kept below 45mph which was probably overkill and certainly a first for me on NSL roads.

Max legal height in the UK is 16ft.

Any unsigned bridge is a minimum of 16ft 6inches.
