just taken my car out this morning and the radio and sat nav unit switch off then back on again approx every 45 seconds of there own accord ?. the radio comes back on instantly but the sat nav has to re boot every time.(the screen doesnt retract it goes to the aston logo screen then back onto the map)

i ve tried turning everything off, used cd and radio functions, re started it, closed down the sat nav etc, but no joy.

very annoying . i have the premium warranty but i believe that the radio and sat nav are not covered?

any ideas?, is it worth disconnecting the battery briefly , or is that a waste of time?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

is your car a coupe or roadster, have you had any other strange occurrences with such as the speed indicator also going off, blue tooth not functioning I would think this could be a can network error especially if it is a roadster, disconnecting the battery and leaving it disconnected for a while will cause everything to reboot, and may help, just remember to reset the windows and seats afterwards, if you need any other advice or not sure on the resets please let me know,

Your tracker uses the bluetooth assuming you still have that up and running

Had the same issue, was more like every 15 seconds... Just drove round Europe just with radio for a few days. After a while, I noticed the intermitent clicks of the system switching on and off had gone - it cured itself confused

Never reoccurred either.

For those who may find this post in the future and have the same problem, I spoke with mark who prior to me had the same problem on this thread. Easy solution, clean the satnav disc in the boot, I did it and after one simple eject, wipe and reinsert the problem is now gone smile))))))

Can I confirm you got this problem sorted? Its EXACTLY the same problem as I am experiencing! It cuts the whole music and sat nav system out too!
