Simple poll. Virtually nobody I know carries with them the paper part to their licence, despite it carrying a large health warning that the two parts should always presented together.

In fact, one colleague admitted to throwing the paper part in the bin. yikes

Which parts of your licence do you carry about your person when driving?

I admit to having to usually hunt down the back of my filing cabinet when I need the paper part.

I keep both parts in my wallet.

The paper part easily folds up to be credit card sized (which I have space for in my wallet), so I don't see any reason NOT to have it with me.

Both.. Have done since I passed 2 1/2 years ago. My instructor told me the card part isn't valid unless its accompanied by the paper bit. Not that that bothered me, I've just got it folded up into a little square in the back of my wallet.

Don't carry either. What's the point? Worse case scenario I'll just have to present it down the police station at a later date.

It's an utterly stupid system. They could easily have permissions and endorsements encoded on the card.

Card only, and that's more for ID (thanks to my youthful good looks) to buy booze than in case I get pulled over.

Not voted yet, closest option would be "neither" or a poll edit?

Neither, too much hassle is it's lost or stolen, & you can produce it if required in 7 days anyway.

I've a paper one, and neither. Can't get lost sitting in my "box of important things" at home.

I've been stopped without license and as long as you can identify yourself I have no issues with the Police. I usually carry only the plastic bit as ID for pubs and Tesco! I'm 24 and still look 17!!!

In this day and age it is not required to carry a licence, 'they' can tell if you are licenced or not, same aplied to insurance & MOT.

No, I don't keep it with me (it would probably fall to bits if I did)
I suppose I should vote "neither"
