Anyone else tried their wines? Just discovered "Passion Has Red Lips", boy it's good! Well worth £13 a bottle and I rarely spend more than £7 on a red for drinking at home.

Funnily enough, I was at a wine tasting on Thursday where the UK importers, Butinot, had most of their wines to taste.

Was quite excited as have had Monsters Attack Riesling before and have some Battle Island Sauv/ Riesling/Chardonnay in the cellar.

For me Riesling is still the star (only 10 cases left in the UK, so get it now) but the Passion Cab/Shiraz was equally good.

Great wine and love the labels smile

The bit that interests me, from talking to the importer, is how they are the complete antithesis of "terroir". They don't particularly care where the grapes come from, they just want to make the best wine they can, and they don't want consistency. Hence the Monsters Riesling is worth trying now, as they may not make anything like that again.

I'm going to get a few more today, I'll have a look at the others but white wine is wasted on me as I really know absolutely nothing about it. With some reds I can identify the grape and guess the country but whites are a complete mystery. Hence using a good independent wine merchant!
