The interior fan on my 2003 4.4 petrol V8 Range Rover runs continuously and doesn't switch off even when the engine is off and the key removed. This is running the battery flat. Does anyone have an idea on how to remedy this?

Do these things use a final stage resistor (aka the hedgehog) as used on many bmws which fail giving the same problem.
Has the speed control been eratic in the past, i.e. speeding up for no apparent reason?

Bit of googling..

Resistor sourced from main dealer - £41.68. Fitted in 45 minutes (very fiddly), everything working as it should be now.

Thanks again.

I think I may have just found the cause of my intermittent flat battery....
