Favour needed - can some tell me how to activate Jessops gift card online?

I'm at my parents house having got my Dad a voucher for his birthday.

He doesn't know how much it's for and wanted him to activate the card and see. Unfortunately I cannot see the option anywhere on Jessops site??

Is anyone able to help?

Yep, I know it can only be used in store, but they sent a text asking me to activate it online??

Blimey, once upon a time you got a folding bit of cardboard with 'Gift Voucher' written on it. You could even put it in an envelope and give it to someone for a present!

And it wasn't even digital. How amazing is that?!

^ yeah, maybe Jessops want to increase the people who don't actually cash in vouchers, from 30% to 50% +

I was given one - the pin activation stuff was a load of nonsense. I went into my local store to ask how to activate it and found it was not necessary! My card had a £75 credit on it, and they just swiped it at the till.

My wife works for Jessops and she tells me that you need to use the link that was supplied in the email/SMS to activate the card, as it's a unique URL that takes you straight to the activation page for your gift card. This is to stop people sitting on a general activation page entering random numbers or entering the number from a card that they found/nicked.

If you need the link resending, you can call 0116 232 6000 and ask for customer services, and they will do it for you.
