So bloody what! Idiot. I am sure you have never made a speeling mistake?Anyway, OP, sorry no idea. But I do remember the test flights where they used Prestwick, probably starting nearly 40 years ago?
Up until she was decommissioned, we had her regularly up here.
Sadly missed.
WHAT A NOISE
Might be worth a posting over at the aviation version of PH:

(I wonder what the equivalent of an MX5 is? An Extra EA-300?)

Why do that?
Does it make you feel like a big man??
Makes you look like the idiot.
I disagree somewhat.Does it make you feel like a big man??

Whilst I wouldn't have posted with "know", I do get really annoyed at txt spk, and can emphasis with Thom987 on that.
It may be considered unimportant on a forum, but if standards drop in one area, they drop everywhere.
I have noticed txt speak creeping into news articles recently, and what's even worse is colleagues using it in emails.
It makes me cringe... as it doesn't take much extra effort to try to use the english language properly.

(who is pretty sure there is a mistake which will be picked up on, in what he wrote above! )

The Low wing Extra-300 is the lady-boy-limp-wrist variant.http://www.pprune.org/

The original mid-wing 300 is the definitive chest-wig Extra - because seeing anything in the three-point attitude is clearly for girls.

Lots of Concorde stuff about - to be honest. Why not donate it to one of the Concorde museums - like Brooklands or East Fortune?
Sounds like a good idea. For some reason when I was sat on the Concorde at Brooklands and they started playing "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen, I got some dust in my eyes. Do they blow dust out of the old ventilation systems when this comes on???Otherwise, I'll give the OP a few quid for it, and donate it myself.
